Madison Street Music & Arts Academy operates on a break-even basis. We do not receive government or outside funding. The ability to offer reduced-rate tuition is made possible by the donation of time by Music & Arts Academy faculty and private financial support offered by members of Madison Street United Methodist Church. We are strongly committed to offering subsidized rates to families whose children otherwise might not be able to experience our award-winning music and arts program.

Scholarships/tuition reduction is based on the following criteria:

• Available funding from private sources/donations (this varies from semester to semester)

• A student’s demonstrated financial need (See chart below for this information)

**Reduced Rate Tuition is a discount of 80% and ONLY applies to 30-minute private lessons.  Students receiving reduced rate tuition may take longer lessons, but additional tuition will be charged at the full rate.

Submitting Your Reduced Rate Tuition Application:

Step 1: Read over materials and contact Jennifer Burch at the Music & Arts Academy if you have any questions:  jennifer@madisonstreetumc.org

Step 2: Complete online Reduced Rate Tuition Application and attach a copy of your 2019 Federal Income Tax Return by August 21, 2020.  ALL MILITARY APPLICANTS MUST ALSO SUBMIT A COPY OF DECEMBER 2019 LES.

**Please note--You may be required to provide additional income information during the application process.

Reduced Rate Tuition Application Documentation:

In order for the Madison Street Music & Arts Academy to be fair to all families in need, to be in compliance with our financial operational guidelines, and to prepare reports for our scholarship funders, we must have acceptable documentation to support the income you report on your Reduced Rate Tuition Application. This documentation must be submitted for all household members listed on the form.
